A gloomy season is coming again. Kafun-sho. Though it’s quite similar to hay fever, pollen of Japanese cedar, not of hay, causes it.
I went to see a doctor last Saturday, he checked my nose, throat and he did an (annual) check-up, Kafun-sho. I went to a pharmacy and received an eye lotion, a nasal spray and tablets. The medicine is ready.
After that, I went to a volume home electric retailer. I checked several air purifiers and decided to buy one after long negotiation with a clerk. The purifier I bought is the latest model of Sharp, which cleans dusts including pollens in the air by a high-density particles of ion. Also it can serve as a humidifier. Perfect. A clean environment is ready.
Hope I can spend more comfortable days this year!

I’ve received the result of a Chinese Test that was held last December. Just after the exam, I thought that I had done quite well, but the reality was so-so compared to the goal I had set.
My goal was grade A at the intermediate level (8th grade), but what I’ve obtained was grade B (7th grade). As the test system will be changed as from this year, I should set a new goal for this year. I will keep on working harder!

The yearly Setsu-bun festival is coming nearer. It falls on February 4 this year.
The bean-scattering ceremony has been quite popular in Japan. You can watch Sumo wrestlers scatter beans at a famous temple on television.
And for the past ten years or more, Eho-Maki has been becoming popular as well. Eho means a good direction, and Maki means a roll. The good direction differs every year and if you eat an Eho-Maki without cutting it towards that direction, your year will be peaceful. This year's good direction is west-southwest (WSW) so how about checking the direction using iPhone3GS's compass?
